TONI&GUY Hairdressing Academy students leave our cosmetology course with confidence in their abilities as hairdressers and with the technical, interpersonal, and retail skills that give them an edge in the salon. They learn how to work in a salon environment delivering exceptional service to clients.

Our cosmetology curriculum teaches mastery of the skills required for the Cosmetology State Boards while emphasizing the trends and looks that salon clients want. Throughout the program, TONI&GUY Hairdressing Academy students learn not only how to create fabulous styles and colors for their clients but how to think on their feet, how to build clientele, how to interview and position themselves with potential employers, and how to continue to build a successful career. Our cosmetology coursework includes goal setting, product knowledge, retail, and client interaction. With a strong emphasis on career building, our programs don’t just produce highly skilled hairdressers, they produce highly professional hairdressers.

Because of our strong commitment to educating professionals, we ensure that our students start with the best tools available to hairdressers by requiring the purchase of a TONI&GUY Hairdressing Academy student kit as part of the enrollment process. As a cosmetology student at TONI&GUY Hairdressing Academy you will use mannequins, styling tools, and other equipment daily. All of these items are included in our industry-leading student kits.

Your student kit includes all required books, professional quality tools, and mannequins. During our cosmetology program, you receive training on the safe and proper use of your tools and equipment. The Student Soiree

One of the most memorable aspects for our cosmetology students is the Student Soiree. Each year, TONI&GUY Hairdressing Academy hosts a Student Soiree that is planned, produced, and implemented by our students. This high-fashion, high-energy runway show is held each year in a hotel ballroom. The Student Soiree displays the amazing talent and limitless creativity of our students and is one of the components of the Student Experience that our graduates most cherish about their cosmetology training.

The Annual Photographic Awards

Each year at the TONI&GUY National Conference, professional stylists and technicians are eligible to compete in our Annual Photographic Awards Event. This event is open to all current TONI&GUY employees and TONI&GUY Hairdressing Academy Students.

The Annual Photographic Events recognize the most outstanding work in several categories. To submit an entry to the Annual Photographic Awards, stylists, technicians, students, and teams recruit models and create and photograph three different looks. The photographs highlight the range of the entrants’ skill in the chosen category.

A panel of judges drawn from the fashion industry, including members of the TONI&GUY Art Team, fashion magazine editors, and other industry leaders judges the entries and selects the top submissions, which are recognized at a special event. Elegant trophies and company-wide recognition encourage stylists and students to strive for a Photographic Award and offer additional incentive for advanced training and refinement of the stylists’, technicians’, and students’ skills.
