function optimally. Hairdressing is no different, but quality equipment
is expensive and may take years for a hairdresser to acquire. Most
beginning hairdressers don’t have the money for quality tools and
equipment, leaving them at a disadvantage.

Because of our strong commitment to educating professionals, we
ensure that our students start with the best tools available to
hairdressers by requiring the purchase of a TONI&GUY Hairdressing
Academy student kit as part of the enrollment process. As a cosmetology
student at TONI&GUY Hairdressing Academy you will use mannequins,
styling tools, and other equipment daily. All of these items are
included in our industry-leading student kits.

Your student kit includes all required books, professional quality
tools, and mannequins. During our cosmetology program, you receive
training on the safe and proper use of your tools and equipment. The
modern and state-of-the-art equipment in your kit offers you an “edge”
in your cosmetology training. Your student kit is a major investment in
your career and one more advantage that TONI&GUY Hairdressing
Academy offers its students.

Location

Rhode Island Academy
1400 Oaklawn Avenue
Cranston, RI 02920
401-463-3633

map / directions

Rhode Island Academy holds a cut-a-thon to raise money for local food bank.

Rhode Island Academy Soiree

The Rhode Island Soiree “Metro Pulse” packed the house with over 600 audience members. All tuition is due on the 1st of every month, with the exception of the first month, which must be paid on or before the first day of school. Every student has until the 3rd to make payment; on the 4th, the amount due will be considered late and a late fee in the amount of $25 will be ***ed. Thereafter, a $5 daily late fee will accrue until payment including late fees is made. Should tuition not be paid as agreed upon, TONI&GUY Hairdressing Academy may take corrective action up to, and including, termination.

Please contact the Academy for current tuition pricing.

A non-refundable re-registration fee of $100 (not considered tuition) will be required for any cosmetology student requesting re-entry into the school.

As the contract is written for a specific time ***, a student must complete the cosmetology course within its time frame. If the student does not graduate within the time *** agreed upon, additional training will be provided at the following rates:

Basic Cosmetology $100 per day, regardless of the student’s absence or
attendance, unless approved by the administration.

The fees listed will be charged to the student until the student attains the number of hours necessary to graduate. The amount will apply up to 150% of stated weekly course length. Thereafter, the student will be terminated.

TONI&GUY Hairdressing Academy reserves the right to change tuition and fees for each course as needed.

CANCELLATION AND SETTLEMENT POLICY

The prospect/student will be refunded all monies paid to the school if:

• The student cancels the enrollment agreement or contract no later than
midnight of the third day after the date the agreement or contract is
signed by the student, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays. An applicant who requests cancellation more than three (3) days after signing an enrollment agreement and making an initial payment, but prior to entering the school, is entitled to a refund of all monies paid, less the $100 registration fee and less the student kit.

• The student entered into the enrollment agreement or contract because of a misrepresentation made:

in the advertising or promotional materials of the school; or

by an owner or representative of the school.

• The school discontinues a course or program during a *** of time within which a student could have reasonably completed.

REFUND POLICY FOR COSMETOLOGY PROGRAM
The school shall refund unearned tuition and other charges to a student attending
the school for the first time who withdraws or otherwise fails to complete the *** of enrollment. The school shall make a pro-rata refund of tuition and other charges as defined below:

If a cosmetology student (or in the case of a student under legal age, his/her parent or guardian) cancels his/her enrollment and demands his/her money back in writing, within three business days of the signing of the enrollment agreement or contract, all monies collected by the school shall be refunded. This policy applies regardless of whether or not the student has actually started training. The cancellation date will be determined by the postmark on written notification or date said information is delivered to the school administrator in person. If a student cancels his/her enrollment after three business days, but prior to entering cl*** he/she shall be entitled to a refund of all monies paid to the school less a registration fee of $100.00 and less the student kit fee.

For students who enroll in and begin cl*** a schedule of tuition adjustment is authorized.

An applicant rejected by the school shall be entitled to a refund of all monies paid.

Any monies due the applicant or student shall be refunded within 30 days of formal cancellation by the student as defined in item 1. or formal termination by the school, which shall occur at the end of any month in which a student has been absent from class for 30 consecutive days as determined by monthly monitoring of attendance, the student is expelled by the school, or the student notifies the school. In the case of a student who does not return from a leave of absence, the documented expected date of return will become the date of withdrawal. Costs of supplies and materials actually used by the student will not be refunded.

If a course is canceled subsequent to a student's enrollment, the school shall, at its option: (1) provide a full refund of all monies paid or (2) provide completion of the course. If the school is permanently closed after the student enrolls, the student shall be entitled to a pro rata refund. In case of disabling illness, disabling accident or death, the school will make a settlement, which is reasonable and fair to both.

For courses of one year (12 calendar months) in duration or less, in cases of
termination or withdrawal after cl***commence, the minimum refund policy must provide a student with at least the following:

during the first quarter (first ten weeks) of the program,
75% of the tuition less a registration fee not to exceed
$100.00 and less the student kit fee.

during the second quarter (second ten weeks) of the
program, 50% of the tuition, less a registration fee
not to exceed $100.00 and less the student kit fee.

during the third quarter (third ten weeks) of the program,
25% of the tuition less a registration fee not to exceed
$100.00 and less the student kit fee.

during the fourth quarter (fourth ten weeks) of the
program, the student may be considered obligated
for full tuition and fees.

Materials
Cosmetology students must purchase a student kit as part of the enrollment process. The items in the kit may be changed at any time, without notice to the student. Items for the kit may be purchased through the school. Other sources for the kit will not be considered, as all student kits are required to contain the same items, with equal value and quality.

Getting In

Entrance Requirements and procedures
All prospective cosmetology students are required to interview and tour with the Administration. The student signs the enrollment agreement and pays the registration fee. A state issued I.D., high school diploma or equivalent, and birth certificate or social security card are mandatory for the registration process.
