Philosophy

The philosophy of our academies is very simple; we are guided by four core principles:
- Educational Excellence
- Consistent Quality
- Commitment to Culture
- Customer Service
Educational Excellence —
We will utilize and employ whatever means necessary to offer our
students the strongest education and curriculum, the right tools,
motivated instructors, the latest advancements, and the most hands-on
experience possible. Our commitment is to our students' success through
the excellence of their educational experience, and our goal is to
constantly raise the bar.
Consistent Quality —
Across everything we do - from the courses to the operations, the
equipment to the products - we strive for the highest quality
throughout our academies. Quality creates an environment where people
can learn and want to work. It also instills an ethic and an
expectation that our students carry with them throughout their careers.
Commitment to Culture —
Though we operate at the leading edge of fashion and glamour, our roots
are very centered. We treat students as family. We know them by name.
We care about them as people. It is because of this culture that our
graduates have become our greatest advocates. It is through this
culture that we are most rewarded. Hear what the students have to say in their own words.
Customer Service —
Our customers are our students and our clientele. We strive to make
them happy by offering exceptional outcomes to both. It is through the
diversity of our student body and our client base that we learn and
improve. It is through outstanding customer service that we continue to
exist. Return to Top

Kit Highlights and Overview
TONI and GUY Academies provides our students with a top-of-the-line
kit for several reasons. We believe this kit matches our quality of
education. We do not feel our students should have to start all over
again with styling tools because of poor quality and invest several
hundred dollars as they enter their new career upon graduation. The
manufacturers that we do business with provide the highest quality for
that specific item(s).
For Example:
- Our hairdryer is a Solis Titan, their top of the line hairdryer, made in Switzerland. The retail value is $100.
- Most all our brushes are by Denman which are made in England,
one of the leading manufacturer of styling brushes in the world. Each
Denman brush retails from $12-$20.
- The shears that our students receive are two-piece forged steel, made in Japan. The retail value is $375 each.
- Our students receive the DVDs of the Classic Cuts2 and the Classic Colour collections. Their retail value exceeds $700 for both.
- The mannequins are made with all Asian hair, and industry wide
feedback claims this texture of hair is the most desirable for a
mannequin. These mannequins retail for $50 each.

What Local Salons Have To Say
What to Expect
 Instruction
The first 350 to 400 hours will be spent receiving step-by-step
instruction that takes the student through each of the New Classic Cuts
and the New Classic Colour Collection, and then advances from there.
TONI&GUY Academy uses video, live instructor demonstrations,
illustrations and textbook examples.
Practical Knowledge
TONI&GUY believes that students learn best when they are free to
experiment and able to develop first-hand knowledge. To enhance this
learning experience, students mix their own color in the dispensary
instead of having an instructor do it for them. Using two professional
colour lines, Goldwell and L'Oreal, TONI&GUY spares no expense to
provide opportunities for hands-on, practical applications of color
techniques.
Hands-On Experience
The exact amount of hours spent in classroom training is different for
each student, depending on speed of learning, previous skills and more.
The remaining approximate 1,200 hours will be spent working with
clients on the academy clinic floor, attending advanced cl***that
are offered monthly, and preparing for state board licensure. The
clientele that frequents our academies primarily requests cut and
color. This provides the optimal opportunity for the students to
develop the skills most needed in the field today, and to maximize
familiarity with the latest trends. Our students will tell you that
they are able to create a customer base that will follow them after
graduation.
Licensure
While working on the floor, TONI&GUY Hairdressing Academy also
prepares students to pass the necessary state board ex***ccessfully.
The skills required for these tests are somewhat different from the
typical styles used by our salons. Working on practical tasks outlined
on the state board sheets will ensure the exams can be passed with
flying colors, with plenty of time to spare.
Networking & Industry Contacts
Being a part of the worldwide TONI&GUY superbrand, with its own
lines of products, 21 hairdressing academies and the largest salon base

sites and *** with consultations on our clinic floor and facilitate
instruction within our advanced cl*** In addition, there are
